2 Simple weekend crafts

So I've been sick for the past 4 days. I've been miserable! My throat is killing me, runny nose, sneezing and coughing. I've been in the bed most days. I was getting restless so I decided to go through my craft stash and see what simple crafts I could whip up to help keep my mind off being so sick.
Here's what I came up with.

Wrist warmers made out of socks.

and.....

Rosette girl's headband made from an old T shirt.

Quick and easy.
If you'd like me to post a tutorial, I'd be happy to do so. My photos didn't turn out so well, so I figured I'd skip the tutorial this time.

  5. My Mom always said that the time goes by too fast. I remember sitting in the back seat of her car and I was about 7 years old when she told me this. She said, "In the blink of an eye, you will be grown up." Gives me chills just thinking about it because that really does seem like just yesterday. HUGS!

  6. your mom was the best! i really felt blessed to have known her and your dad, to see what good parents could be like, what a stable home was. i remember when jon called me to tell me of her passing(i cannot believe it has been 15 years!), and i am still so, so sorry that you had to lose her so early in life. it is clear that you have inherited many of her qualities and, certainly, her crafting talent. much love, synidie

  7. Hi Jae, Love these ideas. If you are feeling better, I would LOVE a tutorial for these. They are so cute. My girls love hand/arm warmers. Brings me back to the 80's! I am now a follower!

  8. Thanks all for your compliments. Jenny, I will try to get a tutorial up in the next couple of weeks. They really are very simple. I just went to Target today and bought several Christmas socks on clearance for $1.49. I plan to make arm warmers out of those. I'll post a tutorial. Happy New year, all!

  11. I love the wrist warmers out of socks idea. I'll have to try that for my daughter. She is always complaining of cold air up her sleeves even though she has gloves on. Great thing to do with old socks too. Thanks for sharing. Saw this on My Delicious Ambiguity.
